Annotation:
The seminar is based on a careful reading of selected poetic and prose texts of the Czech interwar avant-garde, whose aesthetics and poetics will be confronted with them in the background and in connection with key interpretative methodologies and the ground plan of relevant theoretical literature. The aim of the seminar is to provide practical exercises in the interpretation and interpretation of texts based on specific applications of theoretical approaches and models. The seminar attendant should acquire basic interpretative bases and procedures, ie not only paraphrase the text in its interpretation, but also be able to interpret it using professional terminology, explain its construction, use of figures, modeling of characters, motifs, narratives, current theories and concepts, but also in connection with contemporary aesthetics, the construction of text with respect to its levels of meaning. Of course there should be a comparative approach and emphasis on intertextual reading of selected texts and their passages.
