Anotace

The aim of the course is to make the students familiar with the grammar systems of Ancient and Modern Greek. The course refers primarily to the Erasmus students as well as to the bachelor students of Ancient and Modern Greek Philology, or other students interested, while no knowledge of Greek is required.

The systems will be compared in chosen fields of grammar including phonology, morphology, syntax and vocabulary. The course will consist of 12 lectures, 6 lectures on Ancient Greek and 6 on Modern Greek, and will cover the topics such as the alphabet and the phonological system, the Greek dialects, the morphological structure of the noun and the verb and the syntactic rules.

As for the credits obtaining, the students will have to write a test at the end of the course. The students’ presence on the lectures is compulsory.
