The aim of the subject is to get students acquainted with the basic forms of knowledge representation and methods of their effective processing, namely constructions of decision trees from decision tables and data, rule-based knowledge bases, uncertainty processing, knowledge discovery in databases, knowledge acquisition from experts, and some other forms of knowledge representation. There are also included connected notions and algorithms of the theory of information.
