Theory and practice of online information searching (search methods), also main chapters of lectures are about an effective access to selected databases, worldwide database vendors. Methodology of classic and special search strategies.
There are mentioned information systems at Czech Republic and abroad including typical or special retrieval system (e.g. patents, factual databases). Focusing particularly on large or significant databases in science, technology, and business (STM area - scientific, technical, and medical information systems, competitive intelligence resources, patent databases, etc.).
Special search procedures for seeking information in the WWW space and a comparison with professional and commercial systems of "deep web". Processes of value added service including analytical reports methodology and students will create a practical analytical report.
Special tools for analysing of outputs from information systems, e.g. based on the I2 platform.
