The aim of this seminar is to get acquainted with the methodology of user studies for the purpose of the user interface design of innovative applications. The students will first get theoretical background regarding the preparation, performing, and evaluation of user research. All these theoretical aspects will then be practiced by participation in the "IT JAKUB" project (research project held by CTU in Prague and Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic). Students will conduct a real user research among teachers and students of secondary schools. The research will be focused on discovering the current situation in the use of modern educational equipment in secondary schools and needs of secondary school teachers in this matter.
