- HTML and CSS syntax, current standards

- software tools and validators

- web creation workflow, goal analysis

- user interface basics

- components of the page

- web page layout, layout templates

- graphics for the web

- interaction with the users, forms

- search engine optimization, URL rewrite

- content management systems and their templates

The topics covered in the lectures: information architecture web aims, target groups, target behaviour creating and usign personas techniques of information architecture techniques of user testing

Annotation

The aim of the course is to learn how to effectively organize and present information at the www sites. After the completion of the course the students will be able to formulate the aims and the structure of the website taking possible target groups into consideration.

They will be introduced into the basics of information architecture. During the course the students will actively create concepts of structure and layout of various types of websites.

User testing basics are also a part of the course.
