-          general introduction (genetic classification, dialectal overview)

-          ortography, phonetic, pronunciation, accent, word order

-          definite article, nominative case

-          personal pronouns, interrogative pronouns, deictic pronouns

-          verbs of I. and II. conjugation class

-          oblique case

-          genitive and dative case

-          verb „to be“

-          accusative and locative case

-          instrumental and ablative case

-          III. conjugation class

-          past tense, future tense

-          perfect tense

Annotation

The participants of the course Romani for beginners (AKH101102) will become acquainted with one of the many dialects of the Romani language, namely East Slovak Romani, which is spoken mostly in Slovakia and Czech Republic. The lessons will be divided into a theoretical part, where grammar will be taught, and a practical part with exercises focused on particular phenomena and grammatical structures. The course does not require any previous knowledge of the language. The students will acquire basic vocabulary and will be able to communicate in daily situations.

The course is realized under the auspices of Library of Languages.
