The aim of the course is to acquire the use of mathematical-statistical methods in educational research. Firstly, students get familiar with basic statistical concepts and characteristics.

Afterwards, there is a focus on descriptive statistics, including creating and describing graphs, tables, etc. Finally, through the understanding of probability, students are engaged in inductive statistical methods and hypothesis testing.

The development of critical thinking and critical view of statistical analysis and research quality is an integral part of the course.
