Prerequisities: none

Course requirements: The seminar will be rated 6 points. The students will have a presentation on the selected theme from the field of the intercultural psychology.

Objectives: The lecture introduces the students to the principals and issues of cross-cultural psychology and intercultural communication. It proposes to increase the students' knowledge about intercultural issues and improve their intercultural sensitivity. We will try to increase the students' intercultural communication skills and to enhance analytical skills regarding communication between people from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds in both national and international settings.

Description: The course will consist of three blocks: 1.block - Intercultural training (at the beginning of semester) 2. block - Theoretical block 3. block - Presentation of participants and team work

The dates will be set at the semester beginning.

Topics covered:

Intercultural communication

Cultural shock and its impact on human being

Intercultural conflict and conflict management

Developing of intercultural competencies - playing games

Intercultural management and teamwork

Předmět bude realizován v interkulturní skupině a bude probíhat v angličtině a češtině. Uvede studenty do problematiky mezikulturní psychologie a interkulturní komunikace.
