Syllabus
V průběhu semináře se budeme věnovat mj. těmto tematickým okruhům:
- přípravné analýzy zaměřené na měření (tzv. ladění a příprava na komplexnější měření a modelování)
- návaznost různých metod analýz a jejich uplatnění v textu
- budování vícerozměrného modelu
- postup elaborace, třídění třetího stupně se zaměřením na kategorizovaná data
- vizualizace dat a prezentace výsledků z kontingenčních tabulek a regresních modelů
- konvence v data-managementu a postupu analýz (dohledatelnost, reproducibilita)
- triky v software SPSS
Annotation
The practical seminar is designed as a workshop, focusing on the development of two key skills: the ability to strategically choose an analytical approach when analysing quantitative data (with particular emphasis on the elaboration of relationships) and the subsequent writing of a coherent text in which the stated objectives are pursued and interpretations of the substantive results are made, with an emphasis on economy of presentation and clarity for the reader.
It will deepen practical skills of multidimensional analysis and thus serve in the processing of quantitative data from own research projects carried out in the framework of a bachelor's or master's thesis. The course is open to all levels of study. The course is based on the processing of data from the instructor's current research program (SOU CAS surveys of children/students and their parents). The range and depth of statistical procedures used will be adapted to the knowledge level of the students.
