Syllabus
Work with various types of academic texts on the B2 level:
- Understanding the meaning of the text as a whole, understanding the structure of the text, noticing details and understanding the key vocabulary
- exploting the techniques of scanning, skimming and detailed reading
- practice of receptive skills (summary, key words selelction)
- work with dictionaries (bilingual/monolingual)

Course description:
The course is aimed at students on an intermediate level and above.
The aim of the course is the practice of reading comprehension skills and exploration of various reading techniques.
It serves primarily as the preparation for the Academic Reading exam, but it is also open to other students who want to practice reading of academic texts.
The language of tuition is Czech.
This is a one-term course, taking place on a weekly basis.
