Beginner class objectives: to discover and understand our own body; by means of simple exercise learn how muscles, joints, ligaments work, how movement is related to breathing, and how conscious breathing and movements can affect the human psyche. We will practice some relaxation techniques and breathing exercises, simple mantras, introduction to meditation exercises.• Advanced class objectives: to deepen the perception of the harmony of your body, breath, and mind by practicing more difficult poses (asanas), if possible with better endurance and more precise execution.

This one-semester course will teach you yoga in accordance with Yoga in Daily Life, the System which leads towards a harmonious development of body, mind, and soul. The classes include physical exercises - asanas, breathing exercises - pranayama, and introduction to meditation.
