Every week 45 minutes lecture and 45 minutes Seminar: 1) Russian Foreign Policy in Times of WWI and its impacts till the End of the Civil War (1914-1922) 2) Soviet Union on the Way from the Foreign Policy Isolation (1922-1933) 3) Soviet Union on the Crossroad (1933-1941) 4) Soviet Union as a Part of anti-Nazist Coalition (1941-1945/7) 5) The Beginnings of the Cold War (1945/7-1953) 6) Strategic Changes of the Soviet Foreign Policy in Timse of Nikita Khrushchev (1953-1964) 7) Soviet Union and Eastern Block in the Period od Détente (1964/8-1979) 8) The Last Round of the Cold War (1979-1985) 9) Perestroika and the Decline of the Soviet Empire - Reasons and Impacts (1985-1989/1) 10) Russian Foreign Policy under Yeltsin (1991-2000) 11) Putin's Impulse and Changes in the Foreign Policy Strategy (2000-till present times) 12) Foreign Policy Concepts of post-Soviet Countries (1991-till present times)  13) Conclusion Remarks and Discussion

Annotation

The lectures and seminaries will be devoted to the main tendencies of the Soviet (Russian) foreign policy since the beginning of the WWI till the present times. Key part of it will consist the topics related to the Soviet period and three meeting will deal with the post-Soviet realities in Russia and key post-Soviet non-Russian countries.
