Annotation
The aim of this course is to introduce the basics of acute medicine and the role of rehabilitation in intensive care unit (ICU).
We will focus on characteristics of critically ill patients highlighting their special needs and troubles. The basic ICU terminology, which should be familiarized by all therapist, will also be discussed during this course. The main goal will be theoretical and practical education, where students would learn how to choose the best rehabilitation approach in individual pacient case.
Another objective of this course is to educate the students about different types of most common rehabilitation methods used in intensive care.
The exact content of the lectures can be adjusted according to the actual demands of the students.
