Syllabus

Systematic presentation of diseases of the hematopoietic system.

The diseases of stem cell, aplastic anemias, myelodysplastic syndrom and myeloproliferative diseases.

Acute leukemias, lymphoblastic and myeloid ones; malignant lymphoproliferations, nonhodgkin lymphomas, Hodgkin disease, chronic lymphocytic leukemia and related pathological states; multiple myeloma.

Anemias, bleeding states and thrombophilic states.

In particular disease states the pathogenetic mechanisms, clinical picture, laboratory diagnostics, disease prognosis and therapy are presented.

Parts of the course are topics of acute states in haematology, supportive care in hematooncology, bone marrow transplantation and topics of transfusion medicine, blood products, apheretic methods, cryoconservation etc.

Diagnostic and therapeutic approach in hematological diseases, practical demonstration in clinical wards, including transplant unit.
