Syllabus

Seminars:

Clinical Use of Antibiotics - 3 teaching hrs.

Sepsis and Infective Endocarditis - 2 teaching hrs.  Oral cavity manifestations of infectious disease and vaccinations  - 3 teaching hrs.

Examination of the Patient with Infectious Diseases - 2 teaching hrs.

Head and neck soft tissue infections cases - 2 teaching hrs.

HIV infections - 3 teaching hrs.

The best of the infection for practice - 2 teaching hrs. 

Consultations, credit - 3 teaching hrs.  

Bedside rounds including demonstration with lumbar puncture simulator and training of hand hygiene with UV light box - 5 teaching hrs. 

Annotation

One week course that consists of 25 teaching hours take place in the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Military University Hospital. The course includes seminars and bedside clinical teaching including demonstration with lumbar puncture simulator and training of hand hygiene with UV light box.

The seminars are focused on the principles of antibiotic therapy of dental infections, infectious disease manifestations in the oral cavity including HIV, involvement of cranial nerve VII., and its differential diagnosis, various head, neck and upper airway infections, prevention of infections in stomatology practice, including care of endocarditis patients, HIV and HBsAg-positive patients in the dentist office.
