OS - Imaging methods - practice

Syllabus

In a small group of up to 5 students, under the supervision of an expert of given method, the participants:

• will perform X-ray, fluoroscopy examinations – with full body imaging phantom (https://www.supertechx-ray.com/pics/Anthropomorphic/ErlerZimmer-7200-1small.jpg)

+ (items brought by participants)

• will familiarize with the control and will perform CT examination + perform CT navigated biopsies on the “triple modality” of the phantom biopsy (https://www.cirsinc.com/products/modality/65/triple-modality-3d-abdominal- phantom /)

• will familiarize with the control and will perform MR examinations - on phantom, on brought compatible objects (eg citrus crops, etc.), event. on volunteers (MRI of the brain, heart, etc.)

And they will also observe the behavior of ferro and non-ferromagnetic objels in the superconducting magnet field https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niEWDra7WM8)

• independently performing ultrasound examination, ultrasound elastography, biopsy on the phantom (3D navigated with fusion after previous CT or MR examination - Toshiba Smart Fusion), biopsy of artificial bearings in pig liver

• creation of 3D models on Siemens Syngo.Via, Terrarecon Intuition, Toshiba Vitrea reconstruction stations, demonstrating of the connection of modalities (UZ, CT, MRI) to PACS, installation of own PACSU demo in local network and eventual connection. own installations (on NTBs). Preparing the model for 3D printing
