Epidemiology: General epidemiological characteristics of the most frequent infectious diseases groups. The most important epidemic measures. (Boštíková 3)

Infectology: Viral hepatitis. Infections HIV/AIDS. Herpetic infections. (Boštík)

Infectology: Introduction to infectious diseases. Changing patternss of infectious diseases. Pathogenesis of infectious diseases. Principles of infectious diseases diagnostics, laboratory diagnosis. Neuroinfections. (Prášil)

Infectology: Sepsis. Septic shock. Infections in orofacial region. Therapy of infectious diseases. Antimicrobial therapy. (Kosina, Pellantová)

Epidemiology: Epidemiological process, condition for spread of infectious diseases, types of epidemics, pandemics, endemics. Epidemiological risks in dentistry. Vaccination. (Chlibek)

Practical courses 1. Infectology: Infectious regimen, taking of infectious material. Interpretation of basic laboratory investigations. Antibiotics in outpatient care (Prášil) Practical  training in patients. 2. Epidemiology: Infections transmitted by blood (HIV,HBV,HCV), procedure at a professional injury. Use of desinfectants and sterilization of instruments in stomatology consulting room. Specific prophylaxis, advantage, risks of vaccination, practial procedure in vaccine administration, sera. Treatment of anaphylactic shock. (Chlibek,Smetana) 3. Infectology: Childhood and it´s specifity in therapy of infecious diseases. Dehydration. (Kosina) Practical training in patients. Credit. Test
