 Practical courses/seminars:  

 Introduction to psychology knowledge relevant for medicine. Ideas and findings from interpersonal neurobiology.

 Self-reflective practice: Motivation, expectations, emotions. Reflection and regulation.

 Family, health, and illness. Stress and health. Disease as a stressful situation, coping strategies.

 Challenges and dilemmas of doctor-patient communication in clinical practice. Therapeutic relationship in medicine. Embedded counselling.

 Bio-psycho-social model and psychosomatic perspective.

Annotation

The subject covers various topics from general psychology, medical psychology, and contemporary psychotherapy that are relevant for medicine. The topics related to bio-psycho-social approach, communication with the patient, psychosomatics, psychotherapy research are emphasized..

Important aspects of clinical practice includinng the patient´s subjectivity, the physician´s role, embedded counselling and therappeutic collaboration are discussed.
