The subject provides knowledge about the status of phytopharmaceuticaůs in the current therapy and usability of drugs of this type in treating various pathological conditions. It includes information on the effect of drug substances and standardised extracts forming part of such preparations.
The course is also focused on the practical use of individual products in the practice of pharmacists. Attention is also paid to possible interactions with chemically unified drugs.
The subject assumes knowledge of pharmacognosis, pharmacology, toxicology and pharmaceutical chemistry.
