Syllabus
Elective one semester subject in the form of lectures, finished by an exam. The subject introduces law students to forensic medicine as an applied scientific discipline contributing to the effective suppression of criminal activity by delivering to the investigative, prosecuting and adjudicating bodies and experts special medical scientific knowledge.
The volume of lectures does not allow to draw upon to a full extent the entire contents of a forensic medicine. The teaching instruction focuses on the bases of the discipline and on developing in students such medical scientific knowledge, which is specifically important for lawyers who are planning to work as judges, state prosecutors, attorneys-at-law or police specialists.
A numbers of examples from forensic medicine practice are included in the reading and practical didactic materials are used. Students have the possibility to take part in an autopsy at the Institute of Forensic Medicine.
Annotation
Předmět obsahuje základní informace o oboru soudního lékařství, které jsou potřebné pro právníky (zejména pro soudce, státní zástupce, advokáty, policejní specialisty). Pojednává zejména o příčinách násilné smrti a druzích násilného ublížení na zdraví.
Větší pozornost věnuje spolupráci právníka se soudním lékařem, účasti soudního lékaře při ohledání těla a ohledání místa činu a soudně lékařskému znaleckému posudku. Orientačně jsou rozebrány metody zkoumání drog, alkoholu a jedů.
Stručně je zmíněna organizace soudně znalecké služby a problémy využití zdravotnické dokumentace v trestním řízení.
