Banking Law is an elective course that provides an interdisciplinary introduction into legal, economic, and financial-technical matters connected with banks. Banks are the leading institutions operating in capital and money market, the course therefore deals with the fundamental aspects of their creation and functioning and focuses on an economic and legal analysis of their activities as well.
The course develops knowledge acquired through a mandatory course of financial law and through other courses as well (particularly the courses of civil law, commercial law, and administrative law). An advantage that contributes to the successful managing of this course is the knowledge of basic requirements of economic theory, e.g. within the scope of a theory of national economy course.
