1.Historic view of management, classical organization and its development 2.Objects and subjects of the system of management. Basic elements of the system ? individual, group, organization. 3.Organizing, organizational structure.
Development of organization and organizational change. 4.Organizational behaviour. Basic human needs and their meeting (in relation to organization).
Hierarchy of needs and individual differences. 5.Working group. Origin of groups.
Formal and informal groups. Behaviour in groups and leadership.
Cohesion of groups. Enterprise culture. 6.Planning, decision-making and checking as basic function of management 7.Task of the manager.
Inter-human relations, work with information, decision-making. Managerial abilities and skills.
Annotation
In the first part of the course students will be introduced to basics of management theory, organizational behaviour, and present trends and tasks of management in public administration.
