Annotation
The aim of lecture is to introduce the students to the method of Christian iconography. In the beginning it is necesssery to explain the main terminology (iconography, iconology, work of art in context, etc.) The method is shown at the representative works of art, both in Bohemia and in the world of all epochs.
The summer term is dedicated to individual themes of christian iconography (the origin of christian iconography in early christian community, text and image, the Annunciation of Our Lady, the Crucifixion, etc.).
