Annotation
Reading excerpts from ethical texts will introduce students to the ideas of several philosophers that provide an insight into important issues of the history of ethics. Students are supposed to understand the texts and to be able to interpret them.
The focus that connects the various examples is the relationship between virtue and happiness, thus ethics and transcendence. While reading, the students are guided to develop independent thinking and argumentation.
