Annotation

Latin morphology and its practice with regard to the vocabulary of Church Latin. Course content: Basic grammatical terminology, principles of working with latin texts (translation rules).

Latin pronunciation (alphabet, vowel quantity, accent). Nouns: 1st - 5th declension.

Adjectives: 1st - 3rd declension, comparison (comparative, superlative). Adverbs: formation, comparison.

Verbs: 1st-4th conjugation: formation, meaning and use of verb tenses and modes: present stem, active and passive: present: indicative, imperative, conjunctive, participles; imperfect: indicative, conjunctive; futurum I: indicative. Pronouns: possessive, personal, reflexive, demonstrative, interrogative, relative, indefinite, negative.

Pronominal adjectives. Numerals.

Reading and interpretation of simple Latin texts.
