A three-day field trip for the ERASMUS Geology students. The field trip is designed as a "best of" selection of geologic and scenic tours in and around Prague.
A central theme of the field trip is 500 My of years geologic history of the Bohemian Massif from the Cadomian active-margin processes at northern Gondwana during late Neoproterozoic to early Cambrian through Early Paleozoic rifting and passive-margin development to Variscan collisional orogeny during Devonian to Carboniferous. The field trip includes three easy dayhikes (about 15 km long at most) to different locations.
At least basic Geology class is a key prerequisite to enroll this course.
