Annotation
The student is acquainted with possibilities of searching relevant sources (primary vs. secondary sources, databases), how to read scientific literature and critically evaluate obtained information. Emphasis is focused on the ability to ask the right questions and formulate hypotheses that will lead to the elaboration of the proper literary research and to the correct data processing (the role of statistics in the processing of measured data, visualization of results).
Students will learn what plagiarism is, how copyright works, how to use various scienfic resources, what Scientometry means. Technical aspects such as proper storage of primary data and the use of citation managers are also discussed.
