Actual problems of condensed matter physics including, but not limited to, the following topics:
- symmetry protected physical properties
- topological properties, conductivity
- geometrically frustrated lattices and systems
- prospects of technical applications
- advances in microscopic techniques allowing investigation of these topics
The aim of the course is a presentation of actual problems in condensed matter physics with respect to their microscopic aspects, especially geometrical frustration. Selected problematics will be discussed with respect to current possibilities of experimental research.
The lecture is intended for doctoral students.
