Grammatical, Lexical Structures: Review of tenses; progressive, simple aspect; present, past, present perfect tenses; transitive,intransitive usage (raise, rise);modal verbs of probability, expectation; idioms.

Topics: writing:biography (tense review); Methods of description of place: texts and writing.

Test review: Use of English,Reading sections

Annotation

A two-term credited course which introduces students to the Cambridge First Certificate in English Exam (FCE), explores strategies of test taking and covers the grammatical structures and vocabulary found in this test. This is an intermediate to upper-intermediate English class.

The course is included in the credit system of the Faculty.
