* Grammar

- nouns - gender and number

- definite and indefinite articles, absence of article

- subject personal pronouns

- adjective + noun/congruence

- interrogative pronouns

- conjugation of regular verbs/present tense

- irregular verbs TENER, DECIR, IR, SALIR, OÍR, QUERER, SABER/present tense

- PODER, QUERER, TENER QUE + INFINITIV

- SER and ESTAR - difference and usage

- basic structure of a Spanish sentence, question, negation

- basic prepositions of time and place

- numerals 1 - 1000

* Communication and vocabulary

- say hello and goodbye

- introduce yourself and others

- ask about someone’s name, nationality, job, phone number

- say what languages you speak

- say how you are

- thank someone, apologize, ask when you don’t understand, ask about the meanings of words

- talk to a waiter in a bar

- ask about a price

- describe someone’s character and looks

- agree on a date

- ask about the way

- say what time/day it is, parts of the day
