The goal of the course is to enhance the students' linguistic competence and to develop their translation skills by means of translations of selected texts both from English into Czech and vice versa. The texts will include creative literature and specialized texts highlighting the broad spectrum of style registers characteristic of modern English, especially in its British and American varieties.
