Intruction to the stylistics of French, presentation of basic categories, applying the comparative approach from the point of view of the mother tongue (or other languages studied by students), style-determining factors, the norm of present-day French and its development; diatopical, diastratic, and qualitative characteristics of the language, synonymy, figurative use of expressions, stylistic figures, functional approach, aspects of foreign-language methodology.
