Evolution of the french poetry of the second half of XIXth century, from the Parnasse (Gautier, Banville) throughout the poètes maudits (Baudelaire, Verlaine, Rimbaud) to the pre-avant-gardes and the early symbolism (Baudelaire, Mallarmé). Look at this period with the question if it consists almost in fracture or in continuity.
