Russian vowels. The reduction of vowels in Russian language in comparison with Czech language.
Soft correlation of consonants in Russian and Czech. Stress: types of stress, the position of stress, stressless words, free stress, stress patterns and variations. Intonation.
Types of Russian sentence intonation.
Annotation
Work in this course is focused on practical mastering of phonetic phenomena both in pronunciation and listening. The practice is based on theoretical bases explained at lectures.
Apart from correct complex pronunciation and listening habits a tutor, using present-day Russian texts, monitors the development of students? speech (during reproduction) as well as their ability to translate the texts into their mother tongue.
