Within this subject, students will understand the basic concept of people management, the difference between management and leadership, and will be able to place this topic in a historical and contemporary context. The aim of the course is to acquire and develop competences in the areas of personnel management (recruitment and selection of employees, care of employees, their evaluation and development), including specific legal regulations in the area of personnel management.
Participants will get to know the theories of employee motivation and will be able to apply them in their management practice. The subject is also focused on situational leadership of people and the skills needed to lead teams in schools and school facilities.
As part of the necessary activities of managing people, managers cannot avoid conflict resolution. Therefore, participants will acquire appropriate strategies for prevention and effective resolution of complicated situations, including crises, with an emphasis on school practice.
