The content of the course varies according to the needs and test specifications of quantitative data of individual students´ projects. In general, the content includes the following topics: experimental and statistical hypothesis, random vectors, characteristics of random quantities, independence, random selection, interval estimates, parameter testing, testing with the use of the CLV, linear regression and variance analysis - ANOVA.
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the principles of thinking during mathematical modeling and its implementation to problems in education. The entire course is focused on comprehension of principles, model application and correct result interpretation.
Course graduates will be able to process data from own research work, interpret correctly the results and comprehend the importance of statistical assessment. All is being explained with the use of practical examples similar to those used in bachelor, master, dissertation theses and original expert / scientific publications.
