The German-language course, which is primarily aimed at German-speaking students of the Erasmus program, deals with the development of the Bohemian Lands, or rather of the Lands of the Crown of Bohemia, in the pre-modern era - and that in the wider context of Central European history, i.e. from the early Middle Ages to the end of the 18th century. On the one hand, it deals with important topics of Bohemian history (beginnings and formation of the early medieval Bohemian state - medieval culture in the Bohemian lands - social structure of the medieval Bohemian state - religious conditions in the post-Hussite period - estates of the early modern period - culture of humanism and Baroque - history of education), on the other hand, a survey of the political history is offered, but in view of the scope of lectures rather on an informative level.
