The content of the subject can be summarized into the following problem areas: 1. Creative postulates of theater and film in comparison with the literary text. 2.
Narrative of literary, theater and film texts. 3. Analysis of specific authors and works, comparison of literary and theater or film versions of texts.
Special attention is paid to 20th century art texts. (S. Zweig, F.
Durrenmatt, M. Frisch, G.
Grass, J. Becker, U.
Plenzdorf). In the area of literature for children and youth, the seminar focuses on the work of the Grimm brothers, K.
Maye, M. Ende and W.
Herrendorf. An additional part is an excursion to filmmaking created in the Czech-German context.
The course also includes a visit to selected theatrical performances within the framework of the "Prager festival der deutschen Sprache", one theater performance in Czech and a screening of the film festival "Der Film". The course also includes the monitoring of theater productions in Prague from the perspective of the repertoire classification of works by German authors.
