Syllabus
Intonation variants related to the syntagmatic division of a sentence. Dynamics, rhytm. Sound combinations: accommodation, assimilation, dissimilation, diaeresis, epenthesis, prothesis, metathesis. Marking the softness of consonants. Basic patterns of the relationship between phonetic and graphic systems of contemporary Russian, phonological and phonetic principle of orthography.
Transliteration from Russian into Czech and from Czech into Russian. Transcription.
Annotation
Work in this course is focused on practical mastering of phonetic phenomena both in pronunciation and listening. The practice is based on theoretical bases explained at lectures.
Apart from correct complex pronunciation and listening habits a tutor, using present-day Russian texts, monitors the development of students? speech (during reproduction) as well as their ability to translate the texts into their mother tongue.
