The introduction defines the basic principles and methods of paleobotany including the introduction of the most important concepts and principles of taxonomy with their paleobotanical specifics. Further defined interdisciplinary overlaps of this subject.
The main content of the course is its own characteristic problems of transition of plants on land, a detailed characterization of developmental stages: bryophytes, psilophytes, pteridophytes, gymnosperms and angiosperms, and in the scheme, the most important representatives of phylogenetic and evolutionary trends.
