The course acquaints students with the current concept of social pedagogy in our country and in the world. It presents the goals, subject, functions and tasks of social pedagogy and analyzes its relationship to other scientific disciplines. It also focuses on the specifics of social pedagogy. Attention is paid to the historical development of social pedagogy, which is connected with the analysis of the life and work of important representatives of both theoretical and practical current of social pedagogy. The aim of the course is to provide students with a basic insight into social pedagogy as a scientific discipline and to show students in which areas of school life its knowledge can be applied.
