Annotation

The course introduces students to alternative and innovative pedagogical programs and concepts found in Czech and European preschools with children (Montessori pedagogy, Waldorf pedagogy, Reggio Emilia concept, Situationsansatz concept, Start together, Health support school, Emmi Pikler concept, pedagogy, etc.). Students will get acquainted with the basic principles, common and different elements of the given concepts. The course provides students with a basic orientation in their theoretical background, but also allows them to look into the current form of pre-school equipment that implements these concepts in practice (direct in-site training or video analysis of the pedagogical practice of the model). Part of the course is to host selected preschools with an alternative or innovative model of work in the range of 5 days per semester and subsequent reflection of the teaching practice of students in these facilities.

Time load (3 credits):

- practice: 6 to 15 hours

- preparation for the final test: 31 hours
