Course is conceived as an introduction to those topics of general theory of education, which are significant for occupation of instructor. Attention is given to characteristics and structure of educational science, educational terminology, selected theoretical questions of upbringing and education, interactions of education and individual and education and society.
Part of the course is familiarization with the history of education and educational institutions. Class builds knowledge base for study of other educational disciplines in the field of education.
