This course aims at understanding the basic developmental tendencies during a period of time that influence the development of educational thinking. It is devoted to an older history of education till the end of the 19th century with a special emphasis on national tradition, especially J. A. Comenius. The course should also allow students to have a deeper understanding with the studied field.
