Thematic units:
• Evaluation of reading, characters of reader's power, correction of difficulties
• Writing reviews, writing skills, correcting difficulties
• Alternative and foreign methods used in the development of initial reading literacy (global method, Sfumato, method without a syllabus, etc.)
• Diagnostic procedures used to develop initial reading literacy
• Development of writing skills in higher grades of primary school
• Development of reading and creative writing during the development of initial reading literacy
• International reading literacy (PISA, PIRLS, etc.)
• Comparison of didactic systems of school development of initial literacy abroad
• Possibilities of cooperation with preparatory classes, kindergartens, libraries, educational-psychological councils in terms of support and development of initial reading literacy at elementary schools
• Possibilities of innovating school education programs at primary schools with a view to support initial reading literacy
The aim of this course is to discourse on the development of initial reading literacy with its links to the development of reading literacy, especially from didactic and research point of view. The content of the course will be focused on current trends in the development of initial reading literacy in our country and abroad, methodical and didactic system of school development of initial literacy.
At the same time, psychological, linguistic and special-educational issues will be integrated. Part of the course is the practice in the 1st and 2nd class of primary school in the form of preparation and realisation of reading and writing at level 1.
