Subject presents selected topics in psychology and sociology of health and places them in educational contexts. Attention is paid to matters which are relevant to health promotion and primary prevention of disease.
The basic concepts of health psychology (the concept of locus of control, sense of coherence, resilience, etc.) and their relationship to education are introduced. Attention is also focused on the social determinants of health and social support issues.
