Annotation

The main aim of the course is to provide ICT student teachers with a deeper theoretical background of field didactics, especially of transdisciplinar didactics, focused on requirements and specifics of teaching subjects ​ICT / Informatics in order to develop computational thinking and digital literacy of pupils in primary and secondary schools. The subject contributes to the didactic thinking development of ICT student teachers with the aim to be able to complete objectives of ICT / Informatics in school practice. Following the general pedagogical-psychological disciplines, the course applies and develops student teacher´s knowledge needed for teaching ICT /Informatics school subjects with an emphasis on computational thinking and digital literacy development.

The course emphasizes systemic understanding of teaching and explains integration concepts of ICT /Informatics education.

The course introduces also constructivist and constructionist approaches to ICT /Informatics education, teaching methods supporting creative pupil´s activities in ICT /Informatics education. It focuses also on specifics of a didactic triangle and didactic transformation of ICT / Informatics curriculum and methods for assessing pupil´s work. The course also deals with questions how to use ICT to make teachers more effective in designing, monitoring, organizing, managing and evaluating teaching. The theoretical basis for the study of subject didactics focused on Informatics will be trans-disciplinary didactics which is based on the study of content transformation in the relevant field context.
