Annotation

There are two reasons why statistics courses are important for mathematics teachers. First, statistical concepts and elements of probability are included to subjects of primary and secondary schools, and statistical literacy is one of the required competencies of pupils/students.

In addition, statistical methods can serve as a useful tool in the teacher's own work, consisting of pedagogical research presentation, evaluation or comparison. This course is focused mainly on the didactic aspects of teaching statistics and the applications of these tools in pedagogical surveys.

The course is realized by seminars and discussions form. Solutions of problems and questions emphasis independent preparation and own thinking of students.
