Syllabus

1.Definition of violence and violence in the family. Myths and facts. Violence in intimate relationships - partner murders. Stalking. Ex-partner stalking. Related to the issue of violence in the family.

2. CAN syndrome, CSA syndrome including CSEC form. Basic terminology related to a abused, sexually (sexually) abused and neglected child. Etiopathogenesis, risk factors for CAN syndrome. Legal consequences.

3. Diagnosis of CAN syndrome. Forms of abuse and neglect. Manifestations and consequences of CAN syndrome. Therapy. Corporal punishment x corporal abuse.

4. Diagnosis of CSA syndrome, including the form of CESC. Manifestations and consequences of CSA syndrome, including the form of CSEC.

Annotation

The course provides an insight into problems of home violence from the victim's and perpetrator's perspective. Students learn the conception of home violence and its basic forms, victimology and Syndrome of Abused Woman.

Besides, the course focuses on post-traumatic stress reaction, therapy, legal principles and involvement of state and private institutions in the Czech Republic and other countries. It draws attention to the interconnected terms: human dignity - health - life and violence - family - society.
